January Shoebox Cards

Hi everyone,

I finally found my camera.  So here are the beautiful creations from January.... it was a very cold night as well as early in the month.  We missed some of our girls who were unable to make it.

My card features tree thin cuts and a soft back splash of paint and a bit of shimmer brush.  The double layer really makes this card elegant.  We also cut a little hole in the top crease to allow the ribbon to go through the middle of the card.  I mixed up the paint and let it dry in the lid of the watercolor paints as it was a color mix and by adding water to it, it can be reused.

Anita's creation is bright and springy.  She had calendars printed on light weight paper that we cut apart and stacked for the calendar portion of this card.  She also gave us a clean copy so we can recreate the card or the calendar.  The calendar can be stapled onto cardstock and then put on the card ... but Anita had a long reach stapler so it could be stapled directly to the card.  We also had an extra piece of cardstock  size 4x4 that is scored at .5, 2, 3.5 and the half inch is adhered to the inside of the card to make it sturdy.

Julie's beautiful card was designed to be a sympathy card.  The white piece of cardstock was stamped with the large flower design.... which just happened to coordinate with the paper.  We then added glitter stickles to the little bits on the flower and added the large gem in the center.. We added the cricut word prayers.  It's a lovely card.

The next Shoebox card class will be Tuesday, February 6.  Come join us for a fun night a creativity and camaraderie. We start at 7:00 PM.
