March Hostess Club, Something Fierce

March Hostess Club features the Workshop Your Way Something Fierce.  It has a little kid, dinosaur feel.  It also has bright colors and seemed quite fun, as the first layout alludes to.

The first layout was inspired by Lynn Como and while it was done in blues and greens... it could easily use pinks and yellows for a more girlish layout.

Here's another layout inspired by Lynn Como... It uses some of the stickers and punchouts... and I love the blue and green color scheme.  Also, lots of photos.  Very nice layout.

So finally... here's a more feminine layout... it's fun and flirty and pink!  This layout was inspired by AJs crafty corner.  It was fun and quick to do!

This awesome layout is really quite fun and interesting how it all came together... Danielle Wagner was the inspiration for this layout.  I love using the cactus in there! Awesome is cut from the cut out page... and only day was used out of the word today.  Also note that the yellow tag under the big photo is cute from either the t or the o from today... just fun!

This was such a fun set of papers to work with!  I really enjoyed it.  Join us in April when we I heart us.  Hostess Club meets on Tuesday, April 9th and the doors open at 5:00 PM.  Please have your product ordered by April 1st.

February Hostess Club, Happy Heart

We opted to go with Special Campaign kit for February.  Since there wasn't bulk paper for this kit, we used the Christmas paper pack and used some thin cuts and heart stamps to help it feel valentiney... since the cricut design space was down at that time.

Here are the creations using the kit!  It was a lot of fun!!

The first layout was inspired by Tina Lovell... The hearts on the paper on the top were kind of funky, and they reminded me of the thin cut hearts... Funny thing... I had forgotten that there was a thin heart around the wonky heart... as was apparent in the above layout.

The new kits feature a cutout sheet of paper rather than the PML cards of the past.  On this Layout, Another Tina Lovell inspired layout, there are several fussy cut out items from the paper.  (There is a design on the back side of the page too...

This was a super fun layout... The gumball cutout is one of my favorites... this layout features a variety of pinks and the sapphire color is really striking on this layout.  Also, the thin hearts cut from the first layout also make an appearance on this layout.

Here's another gumball layout.  sweet and simple, but not necessarily a valentines layout and a little less pink!!

and here is the last layout... again, inspired by Tina Lovell... This layout features the striped  paper featuring all of the colors in this kit.

join us for any of our events on the second Tuesday of the month!!

February Shoebox cards

Hi Everyone,

Here are the cards for February.

This card uses an old favorite stamp set, Vintage Valentine.  I love using the colors of pinks and reds for valentines day.

Here's another great diagonal card by Anita Whitson... The love on the paper and the love thin cut say it all.. add in a splash of hearts and even a butterfly under the heart...

...and this is the interior. (we added dimension by sponging around the edges... amazing what that little detail does to the card.

Beth is our Sports gal... so of course she would create a bracket card for Valentines Day...
The card touts... love you more than... she had some spots filled in, and we filled in some of our own as well.  What a fun card!!  Love the peachy pink and dusky blue combination.

Julie's card featured a heart shaped bouquet of flowers.  We added flowers to a heart shaped base and then added some glitter glue.  We added color to the stamped image and stamped the sentiment... love you in pink.  Love that the flowers were punched in a variety of shades of pinks and reds.

Roxxy's card featured flurry of hearts thin cuts in both pink and red, so that we could create our own design by adding in the assorted hearts as desired.  The B&T paper was also two sided.  Lovely card!!

This was a bonus card... using extras!  What fun... I cut one of my hearts and had them linked together.

Shannon shared her stash with us and let us create our own one of a kind Valentine.  There were lots of Stickers and jewels to choose from!  It certainly brought out the creativity!

The weather was yucky this night... and everyone slid home...  but made it safely!!
