September Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking nights are back in action!  Tonight we finished up the Summer Vibes kit!  It was so fun to do.  The first layout uses a little bit of the paper pack, summer vibes, some older bulk paper, and lots of Cricut cutouts.  It was fun to put together.  The flowers had some added dimension by using the bone folder to lightly curve the petals.

This is the bonus layout!  It uses lots of older B&T papers and some wonderful tropical flowers.  It was fun to put this layout together and decorate it with flowers.  This layout was inspired by Shannon Baker!!

This was such a treat to create!!  I love love love watermelon!!  This amazing layout was inspired by Jennifer Smith!

This is a sweet and simple design that was inspired by Shannon Baker!  It has a very beachy vibe to it!!  Perfect for those beach photos.

This last layout was just fun to do!  The title summer vibes says it all!

September Shoebox Cards!!

Hi Everyone!!  Check out the September cards!!  It was so much fun to have so many people join us!!

These were so much fun to do!!  These are animation cards, pull the slide, and the heart pumps.  Inside it says, "You are... Close to my Heart!!"  Love it!!  This month is National Stamping Month and we are celebrating with this amazing package, Creativity in Motion!!  If you are interested in the special, contact me for a great deal!

Big!!

This is a bonus card!  It was from last month, but we ended up not meeting.
It's a fun quick card!!

Shannon's card is just delightful!! Inside the card, it says... "Friends like you are harder to find than hand sanitizer!!"  It's a reminder of the times we have gone through.

Roxxy's lovely creation features Turquoise and Green!  Love those two colors and isn't this just an elegant card!!

Melani had two cards, be we were only able to get to one of them.  She had an assortment of colors, so we were able to pick out our favorite colors!!  Naturally, I picked out turquoise!!  Sweet and simple.

Julie's creation features a fun fold that makes it very easy to stand up.  The flowers are so bright and cheery!!

Dulce wasn't able to stay for the class, but she sent along lots of goodies for us!  She provided two quick masculine thank you cards, and also a box pop up with the supplies to create our own project!!

Card # 1

Card # 2

Beth's elegant birthday card has lots of layers!!  The flowers are cardstock, velum, thin layer, and the middle.  She spent a lot of time on the big shot.

Anita sent cards for us to do using the Bud Wise Er frogs as inspiration.  A friend wanted Birthday cards, so here is her creation... with a cherry on top!!  What fun!

And another Shoebox Card Event has been completed!  We are thankful to be meeting again!  The next event will be Tuesday, October 5th!

Cards Cards Cards!!

This weekend was a card making weekend!  CTMH offers Subscriptions with heart for Scrapbooking and for Card making.  This weekend, I worked on cards.  The kit includes a stampset (Which is really great!!) Cards and envelopes for 2 sets of 12 cards and stamp pad, a block, instructions and punch out pieces to create these cards.

I did the first one, but then upgraded the cards as I made a second or third card (Cutting off the back and adding cardstock and embellishments)  I got lucky, there was an extra sheet of punch outs for a couple of cards.  Which cards do you like??

This is a shaker card and was so much fun!  I love blue and green and aqua.. so I loved most of the cards in this collection.  (I had some white enamel stars in my stock, so I used the markers to color them to coordinate)

This card, I used scrap strips that were just laying around on my desk to make the third card.  Just adding a few dots added lots.

I love love love this card.  I discovered the "splash stamp" on the set and used it add some splashes of color to the background.  I found some dark blue enamel dots and loved them in the center of the flowers.  "Oh Hello" is such a great stamp!!  (there were three sets for this card)

I loved this card with it's bright happy colors.  And the pink enamel dots were fun to add to this cute card.  My friend Anita taught me to curve the flowers to give them depth, so all of the flowers have been curved.  The butterflies were just fun to add to the third card.

This card is the only one I didn't really like... but it was fun to play and adjust to find a way to like this card.  Heart were added (there is a little heart stamp included on the stamp set) and a couple of enamel dots.  Two hexagons were used on the second card (cut one in half) and no hexagons, but two of the dove tailed pieces were used to create the sentiment on the third one.  Now I really like this card!!

Flutterby Flutterby!!

This one was super fun!!  More enamel stars were colored and added.  What fun!!

I loved this card with the rainbow hearts... but alas, I lost a few of the hearts in assembling.  I really like the flowers in the middle that's my own creation that was inspired by this design!  I love using the inspiration card to create a new card, using what you have!!

This was another card that had three sheets instead of two... I saw a design that had put stickles around the edge, but I didn't have any, so I actually used a very small punch to add to the scalloped edge.  It was also fun to rotate the design to be an upright card.

Shaker cards are so much fun!!  I loved all three shaker cards.  I changed the words to reflect the stars in the card and can't wait to send that one!!

I loved adding the black to the second card!  It really makes it pop!  Notice more of the enamel colored stars!!

This was the first card I did and really changed the color of the ink... I loved the dark green to tie in with the leaves.  I did add a sequin to the back flower, but thought this was a great card!!

It was so much fun to create these beauties!!  and fun to add my own personal touch to them!  There are still a few pieces left and I hope to make 2 more cards.  So far.. there are 30 cards here!! It's a great deal!  It's still available through August 31.  Try it... you'll like it. Order yours today!!

July Shoebox Cards

WE are back!!  Thanks to Beth and Melani for coming tonight!!  We had a lot of fun and created some beautiful cards!

This card features Hello Ladybug stampset and thin cuts!  It's a perfect greeting card for the current times!

It uses a brad to open the wings for a fun message!  This would also make a great shaker card!

Beth's card is just so lovely.  It has a monochromatic theme.  The dandelion is mounted a nice silver mirrory paper that adds an additional sparkle factor.  Two gems strategically placed in the center to the flower and by the word sparkle.  It's a lovely card!!

Melani's card also features a monochromatic palette.  We used colors in the golden yellow category to fill in the flowers.  We also added some color around the edges.  The black layer really makes this card pop.  The ribbon is also a nice addition.

We enjoyed our time together tonight and can't wait for August!  Plan to join us Tuesday August 4th for another get together!!

February Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while!  Hoping to catch up... or at least keep up going forward.

Here's our Shoebox cards for February!

This masculineish card was inspired by Stampin' Pretty.  It was fun to make this card with glitter and bits of red glitter paper.  The red heart is stamped on the black heart and the red heart in the greeting is colored in with a marker.

Anita's creation is a fun 4x4  with a gem to do a pop up to hold the greeting.  The pastel colors makes this card so soft and sweet.  A wonderful card for anyone!!

Here's the open card.  Anita also colored the gem with alcohol markers!  Love it!!

Beth's card is a shaker card!!  We embossed the wooden paper and it embossed the paper and cut the paper at the same time.  We added some brown ink to enhance the embossed images.  She had also pre embossed the thicker sticker paper and taught us step by step how to do this process.  We took the back sticky paper off and stuck it to the blue cardstock, then added the confetti and coffee beans, carefully as they stick to the top sticker, then took of the top sticker paper and aligned the sticker sheet.  We did some trimming as well. Wow!  What a fun Card!!

Julie's card was really fun to do... there were two parts, 3x6.75 and 5.5x6.75, scored at both scored at one inch and two inches, but they are reversed when you put them together.  when the card is folded up, the pop up is hidden.  Glue the left most fold of the smaller section the the left side of the big card.  Then glue the right part of the greeting to the right folded part of the card!  It's darling and makes me smile!

Melani's creation was a slide card! We used thick foam tape cut into strips... four pieces at the top and the bottom and on either side of the slide, giving plenty of room to slide.  The big heart is cut in half and adhered to the edge of the gutter.  cut the gutter (1/2 inch), about 1 inch from each end from the left.snip the ends (Right side can be rounded).  Also cut a vertical slit at the left end for the slider to slip through.  Make sure the message is readable and further to the right.  add a smaller heart to the exposed part of the slider (3/4 of an inch by about 5... will need to be trimmed) close the slider and add the matching heart half to dimensional tape to the slider.  add the paper to the front of the card.  This was a fun card to make!!  love the fun glitter hearts!!

Open Slider.

Pam's lovely Asian inspired card with fun folds.  We are pretty good at folding the corners!  The Kimono is my favorite one so far!  The kimono was slit to add the belt and so was the bottom of the kimono, to show off the under piece.

We missed a few of our regulars.  Our prayers are with Roxxy at this time.

Come and play night will be Tuesday, February 18 and the next shoebox card night will be Tuesday March 3.
