August Shoebox cards

What a wonderful Summer it has been!!  Here are our creations for August.

I love this pear stamp set and have wanted to use it for a long time.  It uses some old B&T paper and and washi tape and tiny layers. This is an elegant card.... It was loosely based on a design from pinterest.  (Teneale Williams)

Anita's card is a diagonal cut of an 8.5x11 and then gently folding the points in and down.  The medallion is only glued on half of the card.  We also made an insert/greeting for the inside.  This is a beautiful card.

Here is the insert as well as the card being opened.

Julie's sympathy card features the word prayers cut on a cricut using flashing tape, so it had adhesive on it.  It was very delicate.  We also added black puff paint to the inside of the flower.  The backgrounds also have been pressure embossed.  This is an elegant card.

Roxxy's card is an under the sea card.  The background is pressured embossed and we had lots of fun embellishments to add... we used  colored pencils to color in the fish and added gems for bubbles.  What fun!  It's a great summer time card!!

Melani's fun card was a cascade of punched flowers.  It's a great way to use up scraps.  We also added some stickles in the center of the flowers to bling it up.  It was fun to punch the flowers out of scraps and then just play.  It's a great way to use up scraps!! Fun fun card!!

We always enjoy getting together and sharing our ideas.  We get together on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.  The next Shoebox Card night will be Tuesday, September 4.
