Can you believe it's December 1st already?
We were a smallish group tonight... but we had fun!! And Melani made Butterfinger candy out of peanut butter and candy corn... It was delightful!!
We missed Anita and Lori, but hope they will join us on Tuesday December 15th for a little get together we are having!!
Details... for Tuesday December 15th:
Bring a goodie to share
Bring a completed card for everyone attending (between 7-10)
Bring a hand made gift for an exchange!!
Sounds like fun!!
Ok... so here's our creations for tonight:
I love the embossing folders and have wanted to use this one.. .looks like snow cascading down! The trees are cut from the Artistry Cricut and I used turquoise glitter paper for the tree behind. This lovely card was inspired by Lisa Stenz!
This is Julie's lovely card... and I just couldn't do it justice... it really is a lovely card with hanging ornaments and the bit of glitter really makes the red ornament pop!! the star is created from foil wrap stolen from her hubby's stash!! and it's self adhesive!!
Kathy's creation features a handmade tatted ornament! (it's adhered with fun washi tape for easy removal and adding to your own Christmas tree) and love the fun pops of red to glam it up a bit! Lovely ornament Kat!!
Melani had us going in circles with this fun ornament made out of circles. We cut 2 inch strips of paper and punched out 7 1.5 inch circles... folded them in triangles and then started adhering them ... we started out with 5... then had to find another five by adding 2 or 3. we used glue sticks and it turned out quite nicely!! I remember my grandmother had one made of older Christmas cards.
And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
Roxxy's darling card features Christmas socks! She has a punch for them (she has a punch for everything I think :) and we had lots of choices for the tops and patches for the stockings! it too some masterful punching to get Santa just right!
Shannon's card sparkled with her fun Happy New Year theme and fun Washi Tape. We stamped the corners and glasses... adding a bit of bubbly sparkle to ring in the new year! Then we added the washi tape across the middle for a quick and festive card!
Not only did Melani have us going in circles, she also made dessert... and then she delivered handmade soap for everyone as a sweet gift! How thoughtful of you Miss Melani!!
So this is the last Shoebox Card group for this year! Our next official meeting will be Tuesday January 5th at 7:00 pm!!
Also a special bonus get together will be held Tuesday Dec 15th at 7:00pm!
See ya gals! Have a Merry Christmas!!
D~
