Pinwheel Tutorial

These are the basic pieces needed to create the pinwheel. 2 c/s
squares 2 5/8 and  b&t  (or c/s) 2.5x2.5 and four coordinating
 b&t squares 1.25x1.25

cut the 1.25x1.25 squares diagonally more than 3/4 of the way

write a g on the side that you want to glue
(glue the same side on each square)

Do a "Dry fit" to make sure the diagonals are long enough

Adhere the first piece leaving a small border on the outside

line up second piece like the first piece 

then turn the square to have the right angle.
Also the inside pieces should be right next to each other

all four pieces glued and the large square glued as well.

Carefully lift pieces and slip other square inside
(no glue needed)  Also be aware of  the angle of the
squares before adhering the top layer

Triangles can be folded back to put glue on

add a bigger brad to cover points and use to
decorate a card... I think this would make a
terrific  father's day card.

The fourth Tuesday of each month is reserved for Shoe Box Cards.  It's an in person swap... We each design a card and then bring the supplies and teaches us to do their card.  Here are the May creations...

I love Hostess club!  It's a great opportunity to get creative and play... Here's what we did in May... Dulce's page was not complete before she left but will update when she does.

Seam Binding Tape tip..

Have you tried our color ready ribbon yet?  I have taken sponge daubers and in from the ink pad and sponged it on... and here is another version... try it .... you will like it!!!


Take the seam binding ribbon , dip in water get very wet. Then squeeze the water out and blot with towel. Then use 2 - 3 different colors and color the ribbon. Not the entire width, just put marks on it , swipe the colors starting with the lightest to darkest. Then wad the ribbon up in your hand and sprinkle a couple of drops of water on it to blend the marker colors.
Then let dry!!


It is a lot of fun and a great way to make ribbon any color combination you want.
