Tuesday September 27  Shoe box cards... 7:00pm bring your projects in a shoe box and make up to 10 cards.  (Monthly event on the fourth Tuesday of each month)

Thursday September 29th WOTG ... 7:00pm  featuringTypeset join us for a night of creativity and fun!  Bring your basic kit and your typeset kit. 

Thursday October 6th Dreamin' workshop... 7:00pm we are doing six 2 page layouts featuring the Dreamin' kit.  Pick your product and join us.  $10 cost in addition to product totals.

Tuesday October 18th Hostess Club... 7:00pm Roxxy is our hostess... we will create a 2 page layout.  bring your basic kit and join us for fun!

Tuesday October 25th Shoe Box Cards... 7:00 pm... room for 10... please RSVP bring everything you need to make and teach your card to up to 10 peeps. fun fun fun!  

Village Creek Scrapbook retreat Thursday October 26th - Sunday October 30th.

Tuesday November 1st... WOTG 7:00pm (Note the date change due to retreat) Believe or Wonderland whichever your want to do.  please have your kit purchased by October 18th.  We will do two 2 page layouts.  Love the WOTG projects.

Tuesday November 15th Hostess Club  7:00pm Stacy is the hostess. We will create a 2 page layout.  Join us for music, chatting and creativity.

Saturday November 26th ... all day crop.  room for 10... doors open at 8:00 am.  $15 charge includes snack and one meal and a small project. please rsvp by Monday November 21st.

 Back from a fabulous weekend getaway:)  and working on my Dreamin' layouts... here's number four:)  Bronze brads were added to this layout along with harvest charms. Simple but nice...

Watercolors... making coloring easy

When I first started stamping, I colored everything in and I LOVED it!  I used markers, chalks and colored pencils.  Then came solid stamps and at first I wasn't quite sure what to do with them. It was difficult to get a nice image from a solid stamp.  Then I learned the twist twist tap tap tap move... no... that's not a new dance stamp.... twist the stamp to load it with ink and then tap the stamp on the pad two to three times to take the swirls out.  And I learned to love solid stamps:)

Now, lined stamps are back in style... and I still like the quick time stamping method.  So what's a girl to do? Well, I have been playing with the new Pair-a-Phrase stamp set which has stamps and images for year round creating and they are lined stamps.  So I pulled out my watercolor pencils and Voila!  coloring quick and I am loving my lined images again.

Products used:

Lined stamp images (Pair-a-Phrase September National Stamping Campaign)
Archival black ink (44751 $5.95 dries permanently and allows the colors to flow... not the ink)
Watercolor Pencils (3505 $22.95)
Waterbrush (1771 $9.25) or Blending pen (3174 $3.95)

Here's an example... Use the Archival black ink to stamp the images and using the lighter color first, add some color and the best part is, it doesn't have to be neat... I do recommend staying inside the lines though.
