October Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone...

We had such a lovely evening tonight!!  Thanks to everyone for coming on a different date!!

Thanks to Roxxy who brought a wonderful Cherry Swirl and Julie who brought muffins and root beer/cream soda!!

It was a fabulous night and we had a new comer join us... Maria!!  Glad to have you!!

We missed a couple of the regulars... Melani and Kathy and Dixie!!  Hope you can join us in November!!

So here's the creations from tonight!!

Mine was a requested redo.  Thanks again to Julie Carriere for her inspiration!! This card was cut mostly from the cricut uses dry wall tape as a background and lots of distressing!

Anita shared this delightful halloween card and envelope!  Bubble bubble boil and trouble!! What fun making this card!  a circle and a slot punch make the cauldron , green glitter circles make fun bubbles!!

The card inside slides out with a wonderful bow and greeting!!

Julie created this fun guy card that could easily be a retirement card or a birthday card for a guy!  (She raided her hubbie's stash for the tiny hooks and fishing line.) so Thanks Darrell!!

Here's Maria's first card and it is so much fun!!  She did the skeletons for us!  Love this embossing folder and the inside says happy haunting!  Such a fun card!

Shannon's creation tonight is a tribute to her grandfather who loves squirrels! What a fun card!  (she had corner punches, but I got in a hurry and glued it with out punching the corner!! Oops)

Roxxy's card was super fun!!  lots of glitter fun with spiders, ghosties, black cats and pumpkins!  The border punch really makes this card!! and we decorated the inside too!!

Lori's spooky card had a spider web embossed on it... and we sewed the spider on by poking a whole on either side of it and tied the spider on!! The thread ties the pieces all together and love the saying!!

What fun and what great cards and chatter tonight!!  thanks everyone!!  See you again in November!!  our next meeting will be Tuesday November 3rd.   see you then!!

Blossom WOTG

Hi Everyone!!

I am pleased to share the Blossom layouts for this Saturday!!

The first layout is inspired by Tina Lovell!  She's been a great inspiration for me lately!!  I really had fun doing this layout!  Love the colors of this kit!!

Layout #1 This layout uses the Blossom Stickease!!!

The second layout was scraplifted from another talented scrapbooking artist, Susan Williamson.  (It's based on her heart strings layout!!)

Layout #2 I love the blues and greens with a pop of sunset.
Lots of room for photos on this layout, even though
there is no designation specifically for it.

The third layout is based on Nickie Hoffer posted.  Quick and easy lovely layout!!

Layout #3 Love that this is mostly paper.
Also, something to note... this layout uses the negative
of the Delight sticker!  What fun!!

Come scrap with me!!  Open Crop Saturday September 19th from 9 am to 9 pm.
Cost is $10 and includes lunch!!

September Hostess Club and Zoe WOTG

Tuesday was Hostess Club and here's the layout we created!  Special thanks to Jo Armstrong for her creation!!  I love how this turned out!!

I love love love the blue green side of Zoe!!  And we used the new CTMH Cricut Cartridge Artistry on this layout!!  The hexagons and word bubbles were a lot of fun to add to this layout!  We also used the new aqua shimmer trim!  I love love love Shimmer trim!!!

And here are the creations of my customers.
(ps Pam snuck out early before a picture could be taken)

Dulce loves these warmer fall colors!  Course she has boys too, so it's a great color combination for almost any photograph!!

Kathy and Shayley are working on their trip to Maine.

And here's Theresa's layout featuring a first day of school!

Here are the three other layouts using Zoe for the WOTG kit!

This layout was inspired by Tina Lovell as well!! (it's changed up a bit but I love it!!)

And this is my own creation!!  I love the simplicity of this layout!  still lots of room for photos and we used the washi tape from the last seasonal expressions issues!!  thought the colors were spot on.  And we also used the September campaign stamp sets.

Seaside WOTG complete

Hi Everyone,

Just finished up the Seaside WOTG and had a hard time putting it away... It was such great paper to work with!!

So... here's the hostess Club Layout that we did start the night off... It includes a 6x6 flip flap!!

And here's the layouts that we did for WOTG.

This is my version of the first layout in the WOTG.  This uses the Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the background, the photo strip, the wave frame and the additional waves.

This fabulous layout was inspired by the amazing Julie Carriere!  The suns were cut out on cricut too. The large scallop is from the Magic how to book with the CD.

Here's a quick one... it's inspired by Tina Lovell and loved her layout, but was out of the sorbet paper from the packet, so I used sorbet cardstock and stamped the net image on it!  Worked out pretty good too!

This super cute layout was inspired by Kim Ferguson.  It's quick and simple and fun!! The wood embossing folder was used to make the fence and sponged with Desert Sand ink. Stamped the beach gear using A1165 Beach Gear stamp set and cut them out.

This layout uses PML Cards and was inspired by Lori Allen... I simply picked out six PML cards (one 4x6 Horizontal, two 3x4 vertical, one 4x6 vertical and two 3x4 horizontals) stamped the arrows in those colors, added a strip of glitter paper and washi tape.  super cute and fun!!

This is my version of the other layout in the WOTG guide and changed the colors up to use just the glacier and desert sand color combination.  I love it!!  also added some of the sequins I had laying around for fun!!

Lots of great layouts to inspire ya'll!!  Hope you enjoyed it!!

September Shoebox Cards!!

Hi Hi!!

One of my favorite nights is Shoebox Card Night!  I love chatting with my girls and being creative.

Thanks to Julie for bringing candy!!  Chocolate just makes the whole night better!  And Thanks to Anita for bring "Crack"  her amazing Crackers and pecans!  (She didn't go home with any because it's amazing!!)

We welcomed back Dixie tonight!  So it's great to see her tonight!!

So here's our amazing creations for the night!!

I saw this amazing eyecatching card that Margi Gilbertson created and had to make it... I didn't even have the stamp set, but her dramatic card made me want to get it.

This card uses the Hostess Stamp set D1608 Better with a Friend, Paper fundementals Basic, Peacock green Shinhan marker, Black shinhan marker, and black shimmer trim.  I used the cricut to cut a 2 inch circle for the greeting and 2.25 bumpy circle to highlight the greeting.  also, the circle embossing folder was used to create dimension on the cardstock.

I Love Love Love this Frank Card!  Anita knows that I love Frankie and loves to design a card for me!!  So she did this card for me and based her group card on it!!  This card is a bendy card!  Frank is attached on the very right of the card and there are score marks to allow Frank the bend and open.

The card size is 5.5x7.5.  Score at 3.25 then fold.  then score 1/8 (three times) to create the bendy fold

And this is my version.  Each our "Frankies" had his own personalities!!  What a fun and fabulous card!!

Dixie's delightful card was quick and easy, we stamped the trees in a solid green and then overstamped it with a rainbow of green inks to add dimension.  Next we added some brown marker to add some branches.  And finally we added a touch of blue chalk to the sky.

Julie's Fabulous Fall card featured leaves (added veins with a stylus) and some pop dots for dimension.  and the love love the butterfly that has three layers...

Kathy taught us this clever purse that is made from a 12x12 piece of B&T paper.  We scored at 1,5,6,7,11 then turn paper and score at 3.25 and 9. then we folded all the lines...
Next fold the 1 and the 11 inch then fold the other direction bringing all to the middle and use paper clips or binding clips on each end and add ribbon.

Lori's darling card uses this amazing butterfly to create this lovely card... just fluttering by to say "Hi!" Who doesn't love a flutterby!!  We also talked about how to use wax paper to help when using these cutting templates.

Melani created lots of cards for Dulce to help with a fund raiser and she loved this card... it's a great way to use scraps.  it's just strips of paper over a string and glued together.  the middle one has been a attached to the card base to hold the string in place.  Cute and quick!!

Roxxy's crazy card features punched shapes that cover a card and create a quilt like background.  We did this on slightly smaller piece of cardstock (4x5.25) and then mounted it to the card.  What a fun saying... What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?  LOL!!

What a lovely evening with lovely friends!!  Thanks everyone for taking time to share your talents and ideas with us!

***Our next meeting will be Monday Sept 28th ***
***Please note that this is a Date change as I will be out of town on the regular date!!

Have a super September!!
