September Shoebox Cards

Hi everyone!!  Wow!  Did we ever have fun Tuesday night!!  Lots of great cards!  (we missed a couple of our regulars though and hope they will be back next month!! Kathy and Shannon)

Here's my card for this month!  It was inspired by designs by Marguerite!  I have been wanting to do this card for a long time!!  lots of little details... thinking of you is heat embossed and really makes the greeting pop!  Also there are little holes around the end of the flower as well.  Love a monochromatic look!!

Anita is always on the hunt for a Great Frank card and she made this one special just for me.  Love it!! Thanks for always making a Frank card!!

At club, we didn't make Frankie... but we did get to make Mrs. Frankie!!  What fun!  Anita loves the sun burst card and bought a die to make it faster simpler and easier.  She also taught us to use press and seal to help keep our projects together till we glued it.  What a clever idea!!

Julie always amazes us with her cards.. this one had a great folding technique ... we cut the paper in the shape of a diamond and then scored at 1/2,1.5, 2,3,3.5,4.5,5,6,6.5,7.5,8,9,9.5,and 10.5. fold from the middle out.  Put glue on the back only... and then add greeting.  This was a super fun card Julie!!

Lori has been teaching us great cards with great techniques... this one had an embossed back ground with anchors.  We stamped the lighthouse and the birds, then used a red pencil to color the door and then used sponges for the water, beach and sky.  Lovely card Lori!

Melani picked purple because Julie and Roxxy love purple!  We chose three flowers , added the fun Hello greeting and embellished with buttons from Melani's "Whitish Button Collection"!!  Apparently, she has quite a collection and a box for every color of buttons! oh my!!  What a quick and fun card, Melani!!

Roxxy's Sandpiper card was a big hit!!  We all oohed and aahed over the marbled paper!!  we also used the blender pen and ink to add the water and a touch of yellow on the grass to bring it to life.  Nice elegant card Roxxy!!

It was a fun night and the cards were awesome!  Can't wait till next month!!  Our next class will be Tuesday October 4th at 7:00 PM!!  See you then!!
