Beary Christmas Layouts

Oh my what fun we had doing these layouts!  Always so grateful for the artists with CTMH who share their amazing talents!!  These layouts turned out amazing!!

The first layout is the layout for Hostess Club. It's from the new Make it from Your Heart volume 3 pattern 5.  We added a 4x4 flip flap and a PML card from the kit.  Sweet and simple and lovely!!

This fabulous layout was inspired from Vicki Wizniuk.  I loved the color combination and used more PML cards and add some flip flaps as desired.  The white inserts have also been sponged to add some depth.  It turned out so beautiful.

And here is the Beary Christmas layout.. featuring fun "Christmas Bears".  This lovely layout was inspired by Tina Lovell.  It was fun to do and made me giggle while doing it!!  The embellishments really make this layout!

This JOLLY layout was inspired by Brenda Rose.  It's a great layout.  The color combination makes this layout quite festive.  Another great layout!

This FUN layout really caught my eye.  Thanks to Kelly Baxter-Fitzgerald for her inspiration.  I love the red theme and the light touches of green.  It feels so festive!!

This quick and fun layout was posted on the make it from your heart blog. It's also pattern 5 in the Make it from Your Heart volume 3 book.  Also used the October SOTM.  What a fun and festive layout.  Merry Christmas was cut out on the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.

There's still a lot of paper left over... plenty for Christmas cards!!  Which is your favorite layout?  Let me know if you have any questions!  Join us for the next class, Tuesday January 9.  We will be working on the Silver and Gold kit.  Please order your kit by December 30.  Doors open at 5:00 PM!  Hope to have you join us!!

keep scrapping!!

December Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone!!

Can you believe it's December already.  Time seems to be flying by!!  Here are the December Creations!!

My card is a gift card holder using a library pocket for the gift card.
** This has been updated from the card class.
Using 4.25 x 11 cardstock, Score the top at 2.5 inches and then fold it and score at 5.5 inches.
Cover the top (2.25x4) and the bottom (2.75x4) There will be a little overlap.  Next fold the pocket using tear tape (or strong tape) and cut off the top to 3 inches, (you may do 2.75 so that it's covered on the inside) using tear tape on the front of the pocket.  Add it to the center of the lower flap.  This is the gift card holder.

Inside the card has been updated since the class.  I covered both flaps (especially the pocket part.  I also added a poinsettia inside.

Here is the original card inside that we did at club.  To the right is the pocket that will hold the gift card.  Note where the pocket is located... consider cutting the pocket to 2.75 to be totally hidden by the cover up paper.  I think the addition of the paper inside makes it brighter.

Julie's lovely card is one big stamp in blue and then we put spray adhesive on the card and attached a used dryer sheet and trim.  Next, rub in a container with a little bit of glitter.  (use sparingly) The glitter should attach to the spray glue. This was a fun technique and really had a nice effect that was hard to capture in this photo!  Great Card!!

Shannon's Fun Card... we stamped the background (there was also an option of another background stamp set in the bright green) and the greeting is washi tape!  What a fun and festive card!  The twine at the top adds a bit of whimsy!   What a fun card!!

Melani's card features a favorite Christmas tune and a "scrappy" tree.  Great way to use bits and pieces and so very festive.  In the words of the card, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!"  Melani also brought Christmas tree brownies that were super cute and and fun!  Thanks for sharing the treats!!!  They were super festive!!

Our next class will be Tuesday January 2nd.  Come join us for a night of fun and creativity!!  We start at 7:00 PM. And a reminder of our Christmas party that will be Tuesday, December 19 at 7:00 PM.  Bring a homemade gift to exchange, Christmas cards to exchange and a treat to share.  It will be super fun!  Hope to see you there!!
