Fresh Air Workshop

Hi everyone!!

Here are the layouts we did using Fresh Air!  The Layouts are so much fun!!  This has been a very popular kit and so if it's something you like, then you will want to order as soon as possible!

Here's the Hostess Club layout!  The relax and renew card is a pml card from the kit.  I love the colors and relaxing feel of this kit.  This layout is inspired by Doreen Watkins.  I love this layout!!

This paper is just so beautiful... so this layout featured seeing a lot of the layout.  there is also a 6x12 flip flap to allow for maximum pictures while still maintaining the integrity of the paper.  This layout was inspired by Sue Nielson.

Here is another layout that focuses on the beautiful paper.  There are five 4x4 flip flaps that allow for lots of beautiful paper and lots of photos.  This layout was inspired by Kelly Baxter Fitzgerald.

This lovely layout features a simple design with stamping.  It's a clean look with a great bones.  This layout was inspired by CTMH.

The next layout is also another layout inspired by CTMH.  They used fishing lures and such, but I didn't have that stamp set, so I improvised with using the compliments and stamps.  I think it's a great layout!!

Love this soft unexpected look featuring the blue tones.  This looks like a spa layout ready to happen.  Thanks to Wanda Rogers for her inspiration!!

Here's a brassy and classy  little layout that uses some of the word paper.  It also uses some the items from the compliment package.  I love the nutmeg used in with the browns and brass.

That's a lot of layouts!!  Which one is your favorite?  Join us next in August as we work on Central Park.  Tuesday, August 14 and the doors open at 5:00 PM.  Please have your kit ordered by Wednesday August 1.

July Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone!!
Hope you are enjoying your summer!!  I am loving these cooler July temps and having the windows open!!

Here are the amazing creations from our July Shoebox card group!!

This fun card features the paper pack Fresh Air!  It is an amazing kit and if you like it and thinking you might maybe want it, I would order it asap!  I think this is the hot set for this book!!  Back to the card!  I love this paper pack and Liz Johnson shared a lovely card that I used for inspiration!!

Anita's card uses lots of older techniques, crumpling and inking, large background stamping using a brayer, and doing two colors at one time... without really masking.  We used the ribbon to hide the transition since the large background isn't quite as big as the paper!!  What a lovely card!!

Julie and Melani both did similar cards... "the lantern card".  Here's Julie's version.  The base is 6x6 and a decorative layer of 5.75x5.75.  The strips 2x11 (4), scored at every two inches. 1x4 (2) and B&T or stamped images 1.75x1.75 (20).  You will want to connect the strips to the base before adding the decorative layer. Use the 1x4 to connect the top and punch a hole in the crossed over section and add your string or ribbon. (note we added a decorative circle to cover and hold the string or ribbon).  This folds flat for mailing.

Melani also did the lantern card.  She did double layers.  We did Melani's card first and she taught us the card from scratch.  This lantern has a double layer.  After doing the first lantern card, the second one was a breeze. The layers are 6x6, 5 7/8x5 7/8 and 5 3/4x5 3/4,
1 7/8x1 7/8 and 1 3/4x1 3/4.

Here it is open!!

Roxxy's card is a fun Bee card.  We used a two step stamp set, stamping yellow first and then the black, mounted the embossed yellow onto the black cardstock and then added the die cut bees on top and added the sentiment.

We always have a great time doing shoebox cards!!  Join us for the next class on Tuesday, August 7th, at 7:00 PM.  See you then!!

Makin Waves

Hi everyone!!

Here's another great Workshop Your Way!!  It features the Makin' Waves paper pack!  I love love love these colors and papers!!

This first layout is the hostess club layout.  Using the Hello spring stamps, I used water color to do a messy paint to fill in.  It looks fun and it was fun and quick to do!  The beautiful flower paper is a nice accent near the bottom of the page.. as it includes many of the colors used and ties them together.

This super fun layout was inspired by Jennifer Rubio!  It was so much fun making this layout.  The mermaid is a PML card and also a flip flap!  Perfect place to hide an imperfect photo!  Super cut layout!

This next layout was inspired by Chris Robertson.  I love the beautiful you part where beautiful is in pink and purple and You is in purple on pink.  Also, at the bottom of the page, some sequins were used on the flower strip.  Love that this layout is a perfect layout for a girl!!

This layout has a lot of cricut images.  The background paper that goes fro blue to green gives this layout a real water feel.  Thanks Julie Carriere for the Cricut file to make this layout come together quite easily!!  and thank for the inspiration!!  This is an amazing layout!!

I always love a blue/ green layout and this is one of my favs!!  Thanks Jennifer Smith for the inspiration!  I love the starfish border that goes the the middle and adding the gems really adds some sparkle to this layout!

This layout features cricut cut floral items and is very Hawaiian or tropical looking.  This is another layout inspired by Julie Carriere.  She really does such a lovely job incorporating cricut images in her layouts!

This Mermaid inspired layout was inspired by Chris Lothian and was using up the last bits and pieces of the kit.  I just really enjoyed this kit and wanted to keep making layouts!  as you can see, there are seven layouts with this kit and they are all so fun and different!  What a versatile kit!!

Join us this summer as we continue to create amazing layouts!!  There's always room for you!!  You are always welcome to join us!  It's definitely a creative atmosphere!!
