February Latyouts

Hi Everyone!

Well, we are back! Here are the amazing layouts for February!!  This is using the Happiness Lives here kit.

This is the hostess club layout!  It was inspired by Tracy Banks layout.  It is a nice simple layout and features lots of photos, as well as using double-sided cardstock.

Layout number one was inspired by Kim Tomholt.  Another quick layout and the stickers add a happy feeling to this layout.

This layout is probably my favorite from this kit.  It was inspired by Lynn Como.  I love the blue and brown tones of this layout and the idea that the photos are angled.

Hello Sunshine is such a bright and happy layout.  This layout was inspired by Kelly Baxter-Fitzgerald.  The world, Sunshine, is from the sticker sheet, and a ruler was used to attach the sticker letters by spacing the bottom edges of the letter on the ruler and then gently sticking them in place.

Here's another sunshine layout, inspired by Kathy Burrows.  The sun was created using distress oxides ink, mustard seed, and a little bit of abandoned coral.  Using the sponging tools to make a center, adding a bit of abandoned coral for additional color, and then using the sponge tool's edge to create rays. The words were cut using the cricut.

The next class will be Tuesday, March 9.

Februrary Shoebox Cards

 Hi Everyone!!

Well, after a long interruption, Shoebox cards has started back up!  It was so nice to see everyone in person!!

Here's my card... it was inspired by Craft with Julie from a few years back.  She used many images from the cut apart sheet, and I used thin a thin cut border and stamps (older) to recreate it.  And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!  The heart was stamped in red and stamped up without reinking, and the effect was fabulous!!

Shannon's project was this stag candy holder.  It was so much fun to create.  The tag's back is cardstock and has a perforation so that the candy can be taken out!  This was such a fun project!

Roxxy had two projects tonight, this adorable calendar and post-it notepad (and a pen)!  It was pretty quick and easy.  We scored a 4.25 x 11 at .5, 2.5, and 5.  Fold on score lines and adhere the half-inch scoreline to the back where you like it.  Then had another 4.25x5.5 piece of cardstock to the bottom of the calendar holder and add the post-it note holder.  Decorate with fun paper and add a calendar.

Creation number two is this lovely snowflake luminary.  The cardstock measures 4x11 and are scored at 4 & 8.  The first 4x4 has a square cut out of it.  The paper has a thin cut snowflake and is layered on vellum and attached at the edges.  The white cardstock is layered on the inside, 3.75x3.75, and 2.75x3.75.  Gems are added to the front to help it stand up.

Melani's cute creation features a little girl painting and "dripping" hearts.  It's just so sweet!!  Melani has watercolored for us and gave us a wet q-tip, and we used it to watercolor the image.

Julie's card featured an embossed background with an ornately cut cricut image with a sweet sentiment.  We were offered a variety of colors of backgrounds, and cricut images.  This an exquisite card.

Anita didn't come, but her cute creations came!  This valentine's birdhouse with love birds is so cute!  The background was embossed, and we ran an ink pad over it to accentuate the dimension. We added hearts to the birdhouse and greeting to finish this lovely card.

Beth's' sweet card is a tag card in a pocket and is easily pulled out for the message.  Such pretty colors (and mine is missing the knot, oops.)  I really enjoyed this card—just a hint of color on the stamp.

Teresa's cute card is just adorable!  Love the mix of valentine's papers, and the sentiment "Hugs & Kisses" is stamped in the raised heart!!

It was sure nice to have so many folks join us!  Thanks for coming and creating!  I have missed seeing you all!!
