WOTG Sarita #5

One more layout featuring Sarita...

I really enjoyed this layout and thought it would also work very well for a Blue and Gold event or a scouting event... How cool is that!  And the accessories for this kit are really nice too!

This layout is based out of the Make It From Your Heart 2 pattern 6.

The borders from the stickease were just so lovely, I had to do another layout using them!  To conserve paper, the goldrush border is just quarter in strips and they add a great highlighting effect.  The words Just Be are from the Artbooking cartridge and are cut at 3 inches.

When using patterned papers, do take the time to make sure that the patterns are going in the same direction.  Just saying!  LOL!

WOTG is a great way to get several layouts done using one kit!  Join us next month for the Ivy Lane Kit.

Tomorrow I will post the options!

February Hostess Club

Greetings All... Is it spring yet?!?!?!?

Here's the layout we did for Club this month... The layout was inspired by fellow consultant Lynette Stow. Thanks Lynette, for sharing your creativity!

The new B&T papers are in:)  This layout features Lollydoodle.  Lots of layers here!!  The white cardstock is 11.75x11.50.  They are also edged with cotton candy ink on three sides (not the middle) and is centered on twilight.  The B&T papers are cut at 9x8 (left) and 9x11 (right).  Washi tape is used on the corners.

The "d" and the heart are cut out using the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2 inches.  The upper left pink is 3x5 and is the back side of the B&T paper. The pink was also used to accent the photo mats. We also used the NEW chevron embosser under the "d".  Using stamp B1450 Owls, a brand was stamped and the owl was stamped and colored to coordinate with the page.

This class was delayed a week and so only a few peeps were able to make up the session.  So grateful that they were able to adjust their schedules to attend.  Here's their fabulous creations!

February Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone...

Well, our numbers were small due to the great storm... that really wasn't... Thanks to those who ventured out and joined us!  And we were excited to have a guest as well!  Thanks for joining us Cindy:)

Here's our creations for the night!!

Sympathy card
this card featured the colors whisper, slate and twilight.  the stamp sets used are C1559 always grateful (tree), D1544 distressed backgrounds (burlap texture) and C1524 Words of comfort (words) and washi tape
Valentine
How fun is this... background dust that has heart in it, washi tape, and the words be mine... Lovely...
mine was done horizontally but others did it vertically...

Julie's creation
Who knew what a 8.5 x 8.5 square of white cardstock could become.  First we created the envelope by marking our paper at 3.25, then turn the paper a quarter turn and mark at 5.25.  Then score between those two marks. repeat on the opposite sides creating the longer flap.

Next put the short edge at 2.5 and score... (lines will overlap) and then do the other side.  Cut out the corners, round corner and cut a 1.5 inch slit about 1.5 from the fold. and decorate as desired.
open decorated with cards (Julie provided the corner and the hearts
cut from a cricut cartridge

Cards fit inside

and the back
Some retired stamps were used  to embellish (D1193 vintage valentine, C1441 Affection, and C1473 remarkable wreath.) Ink used is Cotton Candy.

Also, used the download and created the mini cards.  This might be my hubby's card this year:)

thanks for stopping by:)  feel free to leave a comment or a question:)
