April Hostess Club Dreamin' Big

Hi Everyone!!  Here's the fabulous layouts we created using the Dreamin' Big kit!

This first layout was inspired by Liz Johnson (Happy Times layout).  It was great fun to play with the dreamin' big stamp set and thin cuts!!  This layout is quick and easy and lots of spots for photos!  (it also uses a PML card too!)

Here's the first layout using the kit!  The bugs are stickers and it was fun to add the dotted lines as flying paths.  This layout was inspired by Michelle Snyder's Calypso layouts!  Another quick and easy layout!

This Crazy fun layout was inspired by Maz Wood!  She did here's on white, but I loved how it looks on Black.  it was fun with Triangles... (starts out as a square and cut them in half diagonally.) Lovely layout!! Hope you try it!

This a another quick and fun layout.  The green striped boarder is a PML card cut in half.  I love the colors here, Whisper, Juniper, and saffron.  The "Life is an Adventure is a PML card and is designed to be a flip flap.

This last layout was inspired by Jaime Llewellyn!  This is just such a sweet and simply layout using pml cards as well as sticker (flowers).

Hope you love all of this amazing layouts!  I am grateful for all of the amazing artists from CTMH who inspire me!  Join us for a our next Hostess club (Tuesday May, 9) where we will be using the Some Kinda Wonderful paper pack.  Doors open at 5:00 PM!  See you then!!

April Shoebox Cards

Hi everyone!!  Here's the April Shoebox Card collection!!  What a fun night we had!!

This card is using the Sugar Rush Cardmaking kit!  I love these fun donuts with their sprinkles and love love love the thin cuts!

Anita's darling bunny treat bag is super cute.  All of our little faces had their own personality!  The eyes were made from a slot punch and a little white marker added a sweet touch.  And it was quick and easy.

Julie showed us some circle folding techniques.. and look at the two beautiful creations we made.  They are stand up cards. The flower, the circles were all the same size.  They were one inch circles.  It was tricky to work with the smaller circles but they were very nice.

Here is her next card... bigger circles, three the same size and one bigger.  Really enjoyed this card.

Kathy's card is always thoughtful... this time she found an embossing stencil with three butterflies on and found fabric butterflies and they were all cut out for us!!  Bonus!!

Roxxy's card  was super cute... we used a stencil and inked it up and then put the white part of the card on it.  We used colored pencils to color in the groovy chick...

Here's the inside!!

And Melani's lace doily card with a lovely flower... punches and cricut images work wonderfully well on cards too!  Great Spring Card... now is spring would just get here!!

We always have a great time doing cards!!

March Hostess Club

Sugar Rush is the kit we worked on in March!! And it was quite fun!!

Here's the hostess Club layout!!  and it was inspired by Laura Fairbrother.  It's sweet and simple but very nice.  We used Marker Alphabet for the words and Sugar rush Scrapbooking stamp set for some fun and simple pops!

The first layout was so much fun... and scraplifted from Holly Vesselenak.  I love the pocket!! It's also fun to use the washi tape to add a hint of color to the photo mats.

Here's the third layout using the CTMH downloadable guide.  I really love the gray and red and white combination. We also used the red washi tape on the edges.

And this one is my favorite... we built this one using the Make it from Your Heart volume I layout #08 page 20-1.  And it was fun adding the one inch dots... mostly red.  You and Me was cut at 3.5 from the Flower Market cricut cartridge.

And this last one isn't quite done... I wanted to put some donuts on there using the thin cuts, but couldn't find them at the time... Also, I picked pink and chocolate as my accent colors, but there are lots of option that would work. This layout was inspired by the Amazing Tina Lovell!!

We always enjoy our workshop nights and hope that maybe you can join us for our next one.  We will be using Dreamin' Big kit!!  Come and join us for the next Hostess Club workshop... Tuesday April 11!! Doors open at 5:00 PM.  See you then!!

March Shoebox Cards

Here are the amazing creations from March

This lovely card is from a card workshop that I did in February and it was so much fun... Also, this was one was a favorite card and so I decided to bring it to Shoebox cards!  I love the way this flower stamp works... It just shows up so nicely!!

Anita made this fun warm drink card for us to make!  What fun!!  We textured the front of the card and added a smiley face!  (the smile is a black circle with a smaller circle cut out of it and cut in half.) Clever!!

Then she shared with us this card (also a warm drink card) Mine is a hot cocoa card since I don't drink coffee!!  and we used the crimping tool... it's so much fun to use tools we haven't used a long while and to bring them back to life!!

Kathy always loves to do something different... this time we actually sewed on the card... She brought over her sewing machine and we created this lovely card.  All of the hexagons were pre cut and we just had to arrange them (there were two sets of eight) and spray adhesive them to stay on while we sewed... thankfully it was pretty easy to do.

Melani's card featured a St. Paddy's day theme.  We added the strips of paper to the background and drew a double line around the clovers for detail.  This was a fun and quick card!!

Roxxy's card was so sweet!!  It used the Swan lake thin cuts... We did a bit of masking with the wings and it's really a nice looking card!

We always have a good time at Shoebox Cards and have missed a few of our regulars and hope they can join us in April!  We will be meeting Tuesday April 4th at 7:00 PM.

See ya soon!

February Hostess Club

Hi everyone!  Here's our creations using Hello Lovely!!

This first layout is our hostess Club layout!  It was inspired from AJ's Crafty Creations!!  We used one of the PML cards from the kit to make this lovely layout!

The second layout is also inspired by AJ's Crafty Creations!!  I love this elegant layout and used New England Ivy cardstock instead of the sea glass and Love it!  The letters were a little difficult to use... but I like the end result!!

My Family is the third layout, inspired by Tina Lovell, is such a nice soft layout!  Perfect for family photos or heritage photos!

The last layout was inspired by Jennifer Smith... It was so lovely that I HAD to make it!!  Still needs a few flowers to bring it to life, but I love the gold word Love and using strips to make the left page.

Hostess Club occurs on the second Tuesday of the month.  There is always a featured kit to work on and we always have a nice time, chatting and creating and listening to music!
Doors open at 5:00 PM.  Come and join us next time!

February Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone!!

Here's the cards from February!!  Of course they are Valentines!!  What fun!!

Here's my card and I just love the monster stamps and what a fun valentine card they make!  I love the red and white and pink zip strip!! Add a bit of stamping and tie it off with some bakers twine. Super cute and fun!!

Anita made this darling stand up candy treat!  The bag was also quite festive!  and we stamped a greeting behind the open heart so that when it's empty of the treat, there is still a lovely greeting!!

Julie's card is a stand up easel card and quite lovely... I was surprised at how quick and easy this cute card was.

Melani's card was super cute and fun to make... Love a new fun fold!!  Click here for the directions.

Roxxy's card is such a soft sweet card... The fun arrows are stamped in the background and with a little bit of sponging, sure makes an elegant card.

Shoebox cards meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month.  Looking forward to our March get together!!
