Florence workshop

These are the layouts we did with Florence!!

This first one is the Hostess Club layout featuring the bulk paper!!  We also used the hello thin cuts as well!!  What fun!!  It's a super cut layout for almost any occasion!!

Here's the first layout... and it's based on a layout from pinterest scrapbook generations. The colors in this kit are so vibrant and fun!!  The die-cuts have a little bit of rose color to them and so does the shiny tape... it just makes a nice finish to the pages.

This layout is based on the CTMH's WYW.
We edged the white pieces to help them stand out a bit.
The blue print is so pretty!!

This layout was inspired by Chris Robertson... my favorite part is the tabs going across the top.  We also used a couple of the PML cards when decorating this page!!

The next hostess club will be Tuesday September 13th and we will be creating with the Magical kit!! Come join us for a night of fun!  Doors open at 5:00 pm!!  see you then!!

August Shoebox Cards

Here's my creation!!  It features the watercolor set and I used the big wide brush from CTMH's brush set!! Also used the new thin cuts.. hello and the heart thin cuts!!

Anita showed us a fabulous watercolor technique... we used a craft mat and used a brush to apply paints that went along with our solid color, then put white cardstock over it and used that as the background for the butterflies... (that Anita pre-cut for us) and we could add texture if we wanted and then added our butterflies back in and embellished with coordinating gems and sequins.

Julie continues to amaze us with her creations!!  This card makes a box that holds notes, gift cards and or money!  Such fun colors too!!

(open)

 closed!!

Lori's lovely card is soft and sweet and a treat for anyone who would receive it!! I love all of the special touches... the doily, the center of the flower and the tiger eye gem and the greeting on the silverish paper!! Very elegant card!!

Melani had us going in circles with her card... she gave us scraps of papers and punches and this is what we created... One tip, punch the smaller circles first... What a great way to use scraps!!

Roxxy bright and fun card features a pop out cake!!  She gave us an insert so that we could us colored pencils to color the greeting, but I liked just the insert and so used that and some balloons to decorate!  What a surprise greeting!!

Shannon's sweet card fits in a #10 envelope and is a popsicle!!  we used a flower punch for the bite and added decorations.  What a great idea!!

Hope you can join us for September Shoebox cards... Tuesday September 6th at 7:00 pm!!

July ShoeboxCards

July Shoebox cards was a great night!!  What a fun way to spend a hot summer evening, but in a cool basement with several card making friends!!

This card is fun fun fun!! I love monochromatic cards!!  This one features the old fundamental paper pack and a simple stamp and some embellishment make this quick and easy too!!

Anita created this amazing get well card that fits a travel sized tissue container!!
and it's so elegant and one would want to get sick just to get this cool card!!

Julie's project is an explosion card! (see both photos)

Here's the inside!! What fun!!

Kathy helped us to learn "Zen Doodling" using our initial.  She even helped us by drawing our letter if we wanted some help.  This took a little while, but it was kind of fun!!

Lori's card was this lovely Sympathy card.
All of the layers made this card really stand out!

Roxxy's card is a delightful window scene.
A sweet card to send to a friend you have been thinking about.

And Shannon showed us how fun it is to use watercolors... with an ombre effect
And what a fun stamp to use with it!!

Urban Layouts

Urban was so much fun!! I loved the blues and browns and greens.  I also loved the ink blot stamp set as it was super fun to use with this kit!!

This is the hostess layout for Urban!!

Here is Theresa's version of the layout!!  with Pics!!  Nice  Job Theresa!!

Then here are the next two layouts.
This first layout was inspired by Lauren Kelly!  It's a wonderful layout and really works this rustic feature of this kit.  Totally a different look than the first layout!

Theresa really liked the rustic barn/shed look and it's kind of fun!!
Thanks Wendy Potts for the inspiration!!

And this last one is one of my favorites!!  I love the combination of
the wooden background and the retro/urban papers!

June Shoebox Cards

Hi Everyone,

Here's the cards from June!!

I loved this card when I saw it and had to have the stamp set!!  Thanks to Shannon Buck for the inspiration!!

Anita's masculine birthday card was just delightful.  We also cut out the watch and then put some acetate over the watch to make it shiny like a real watch!!

Julie showed us how to make this fun card out of one 12x12.  I had a hard time lining up the punch, but loved the effect of the punch!! Very fun and loved the Uncle Sam hat!!

Lori is showing her love of bright colors with this very bright and springy card!!  Love that we built on an embossing folder!  Clever idea!!

Melani reminded us to use the stencils.. we traced the letters and then used markers to fill in rather than cutting out the letters.. which we all know is hard to do... especially on black!  And the baker's twine finished the card off nicely!

Shannon gave us supplies to do two cards!  What fun is this anchor card.  The embellishments made it very easy and quick to make these two cards!
